What I offer
My Services
My therapeutic approach focuses primarily on building a space and a relationship that allow for healing and change. As a social worker, I approach each client as the expert in their own lives and see my role as a helper to guide them to their desired goals. My approach to mental health care is strengths-based and attempts to work within the realities of our society while rejecting the way American capitalism seeks to individualize and pathologize all struggles.
I am qualified and prepared to address a wide variety of circumstances and issues that might bring a person to seek therapy. However, I specialize in the intersectionality between queer identities, neurodivergence, with the clash of these identities and society.
These issues can include but are not limited to:
Family of origin struggles often faced by Queer people
Adapting everyday life as a neurodiverse individual
Questioning identity and navigating changes in identity
The traumas caused by marginalization within society
Anxiety and mood disruption related to any of these issues
Striving to live an authentic and unmasked life in society
Remote Therapy
Due to the unique circumstances of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I'm currently meeting with clients via secure video conferencing, allowing us to stay safe and connected. I understand that there are unique challenges to this mode of therapy. However, I have had success working in this format and believe it allows for greater flexibility and accessibility.
