I’m Jade (she/her)
I am a licensed social worker who is deeply invested in providing social justice-oriented mental health services.
My goal is to help ease the distress that brings someone to therapy while avoiding stigmatizing and marginalizing practices that seek to blame the individual for societal issues. I specialize in building therapeutic relationships that see each person I work with as a complex whole existing within a large and interconnected system, as opposed to a simple series of labels and diagnoses. As a queer and neurodivergent mental health care provider, I seek to advocate for and serve my community in both my professional and personal life.
I am trained in several therapeutic modalities and I believe that every client is a unique expert in their own life and experiences. This perspective allows me to provide a personalized and holistic therapeutic experience based on the specific needs and wants of each client.
What it’s like working with me
My first goal as a therapist is to work with my clients to build a relationship toward healing. I do this through humor, clear communication, and an authentic effort to build a trusting relationship. I am a strong believer in the connection between mind and body, so I provide tools and a space for mindful communication with our bodies as we engage with both current stress and past trauma.
My priority is always serving my clients. For this reason, I will always first and foremost respect you and your time. I do this first by providing a free 20-minute consultation call for you to hear from me about my process, ask any questions you have, and decide if I am the right choice for you.
